The final game of the regular season for Toledo will be played on Friday night as the team hosts Kent State at Savage Arena for a Mid-American matchup. The Golden Flashes are currently in seventh place in the MAC standings with a conference record of 8-9 and an overall record of 15-15. The team's most recent game was played against Ball State and resulted in a 76-69 loss on the road. Reggie Bass led the offensive efforts for Kent State with 17 points, but VonCameron Davis was right behind him, finishing the game with 16 points. The team finished the game shooting 40.9% from the field and 31% from the three-point line; marks that will need improvement if the Golden Flashes want to beat Toledo.

The Rockets are in second place in the conference standings behind Akron with a conference record of 13-4 and an overall record of 19-11. The team is on a two-game win streak with the most recent being a 97-63 victory over Miami. Tyler Cochran scored 22 points to lead the Toledo offense and three other Rockets joined him in double figures. Dante Maddox Jr. narrowly missed a double-double with 13 points and a team-leading nine rebounds. 

When these two teams met earlier this season, Toledo earned an 89-75 win on the road.
